Happy Friday!

Designer Angela Weisbeck is sharing her wonderful layout today
inspired by the July Sketch Challenge:

Angela said this about her layout:
Hey there! Today I get to show you my take on the sketch with a twist. I love sketches so I figured this would be a slam dunk. However, the twist turned out to be a bit of a challenge for me. The good part is, a challenge generally produces some awesome results and I love the way my layout turned out. For the twist I used: F- foam alphas, I- ink, R- red, E- Elle's Studio, W- wood veneer, O- orange, R- rectangle shaped patterned paper, K- the letter K in my title, & S- stars.
You can check out my blog for details & photos: https://scrappingcompulsion.blogspot.com/2017/07/back-2-school.html
Can't wait to see what awesome layouts you create with this challenge! :)

"Friend" LO by DT Alicia Redshaw

Hello Friends!

Today's inspiration is from our Designer Alicia! Check out her wonderful layout
inspired by the July Sketch Challenge:

Alicia said this about her layout:
"Hello again and thank you for visiting the Scrap Our Stash Challenge Blog today. Today I am sharing my take on the SOS Sketch and Word Challenge for July, which includes an awesome sketch and the word - Fireworks.

The stash items I have used for the word Fireworks are:
F - Flowers, Feathers
I - Ink (through a stencil and splattered on background)
R - Resin Flowers, Rhinestones
E - Epoxy/Enamel Dots
W - Wooden Leaves
O - Overlay (filmstrip printed)
R - Roses, Ribbon
K - Key Charm
S - Sequins, String

Wow that was a long word, which worked perfectly for my layered shabby chic layout. The photograph is of my dear friend Tricia, who we stay with when we go to Brisbane - and loves us just the way we are! Oh, and best of all Tricia is a Scrapbooker too.

I cut the timber paper apart and distressed it before putting it back together on the double frames. I have then used the ink and stencil randomly on the background before adding the layers of papers and then some splotches of shimmer inks. The photograph was added last of all after all of the embellishments which include flowers, leaves (diecut and wooden), string, key charm, ribbon, resin flowers, sequins, pearls, enamel/epoxy dots, filmstrip overlay cut into sections, diecut doily, feathers and rhinestones.
So there you have my take on the SOS July Sketch and Word Challenge, and now it is your turn to Wow us with your amazing creations……."

Here's a layout from Guest Designer
Ginny Hickmott
inspired by this month's sketch challenge:
Ginny shares this about her layout:
"Hello again, I am back with my layout for July Sketch challenge using the word ‘FIREWORKS’. Here are my stash items I used for each of the letters: -

F: Flowers
I: Ink (paper edges)
R: Rosette
E: Embossing Powder (on title chipboard)
W: Wood
O: Outdoors (photo)
R: Rhinestones
K: Kaisercraft (papers)
S: Seed Beads

I really enjoyed doing this one, my colours were inspired from a colour combo photo I had seen, so after rummaging through my papers I came up with these Kaisercraft papers 50 Cents, these gorgeous patterns look fabulous layered up. I do love to add a little mixed media to my layouts and this one has a little! I created the background ‘circle’ from the sketch with gesso applied with a palette knife. I have a rhinestone circle on top of that. My chipboard title was altered with embossing powder. My edges have all been distressed and inked with Frayed Burlap, and in the background, I have added mists and seed beads. The layout is finished off with the flowers clusters, buttons, rosette and wood icons. The ‘outdoor’ photo is my DD riding a few years ago, we used to trundle through the lanes picking flowers as we went! If you would like to see more details and photos of this layout then please visit my blog here http://shabbypapers.blogspot.co.uk/
I have really enjoyed being a guest designer here at Scrap Our Stash this month and seeing what you are all creating. I hope I have inspired you with this month’s challenges!
Ginny"

"All Girl" Layout by Designer Angela Weisbeck

Happy Friday everyone!
Today's incredible feature is the creative work of new
Designer Angela Weisbeck
inspired by the
Angela:
"Hey! I'm super excited to be sharing my first Scrap Our Stash challenge layout as a DT member with you today!
I chose to use the diagonal line including Numbers, Stars and a Banner. When I picked out these pictures of my daughter rip-sticking, I thought they would go great with a graffiti type layout and then I remembered this kit I got a year or so ago with all these fun spray paint elements and what do you know it even included a skate sticker!
So I started out with my brick background added some of my own misting, cut a strip of starred paper to go across near the bottom and picked out some fun washi to add to the feel of the layout. I did a lot of inking around the edges, hung my banner and finished off with my date and some fun stickers.
I'm excited to see what you do with the challenge!
:) Angela"
And here is a look at the challenge that inspired Ang's awesome page:

You have until July 20th, 11:59 PM (PST) to play along!
